Two matches in NPL today: Biratnagar faces Janakpur and Karnali faces Sudurpaschim
Two matches will be played on Monday in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), with Biratnagar Kings facing Janakpur Bolts and Karnali Yaks taking on Sudurpaschim Royals.
Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) will feature two matches on Monday at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The first match will begin at 11:45 AM, followed by the second match at 4:00 PM.
In the opening fixture, Biratnagar Kings will play Janakpur Bolts. This will be Biratnagar’s third match of the tournament, while Janakpur will be playing their second. Biratnagar remains unbeaten so far, having defeated Pokhara Avengers by 53 runs in their first match and Kathmandu Gorkhas by 5 wickets in the second. Janakpur Bolts, on the other hand, lost their opening match against Kathmandu Gorkhas.
Janakpur Bolts are led by captain and wicketkeeper Anil Sah. In the second match, Karnali Yaks and Sudurpaschim Royals will play their third games of the league. Sudurpaschim Royals have won both of their previous matches, defeating Kathmandu Gorkhas by 29 runs and overcoming Pokhara Avengers by 18 runs.
Karnali lost their opening match to Chitwan Rhinos by 4 wickets but bounced back strongly in their second match, beating Lumbini Lions by 9 wickets. Karnali Yaks are led by captain Sompal Kami. Their squad features Sompal Kami (captain), Will Bosisto, Deepak Dumre (wicketkeeper), Arjun Gharti (wicketkeeper), Gulshan Jha, Yuvaraj Khatri, Jaykishan Kolsawala (wicketkeeper), Max O’Dowd, Priyank Panchal, Dipendra Rawat, Pawan Sarraf, Bipin Sharma, Imran Sheikh, Yunish Thakuri, Mark Watt, Nandan Yadav, Manish Thapa, and Najibullah Zadran.
