NPL: Two matches to be played on Monday
The Nepal Premier League (NPL) has no matches scheduled for Sunday, with two fixtures set to take place on Monday at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
The seventh day of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) featured no matches on Sunday, as per the schedule earlier announced by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). The league organizers had designated the day as a rest day for all teams.
Matches will resume on Monday at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The first game, scheduled for 11:45 AM, will see Janakpur Bolts take on Biratnagar Kings. The second match will begin at 4:00 PM between Karnali Yaks and Sudurpaschim Royals.
According to the current points table, Sudurpaschim Royals and Biratnagar Kings—both with two wins from two matches—lead the standings with four points each. Kathmandu Gorkhas, having played three matches and secured two points, sit in third place. Pokhara, after losing both of its two games, remains at the bottom of the table.
The NPL, which began on Mangsir 1, features eight franchise teams: Janakpur Bolts, Sudurpaschim Royals, Karnali Yaks, Pokhara Avengers, Biratnagar Kings, Chitwan Rhinos, Kathmandu Gorkhas, and Lumbini Lions. The final match of the tournament is scheduled for Mangsir 27.
