Kathmandu Gorkhas Face Sudurpaschim Royals in NPL Match Today



Kathmandu Gorkhas aim for their second win, while Sudurpaschim Royals look for a strong start in today’s Nepal Premier League (NPL) fixture.


Kathmandu Gorkhas and last season’s runners-up Sudurpaschim Royals are set to face each other today in the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Kathmandu enter the match seeking their second consecutive victory, while Sudurpaschim aim to begin their campaign on a positive note. Kathmandu had defeated defending champions Janakpur Bolts in the opening match.

Kathmandu Gorkhas are led by Karan KC. The squad includes Bhim Sharki, Mohammad Adil Alam, Shahab Alam, Ben Charlesworth, Gerhard Erasmus, Dipesh Kandel, Milind Kumar, Rashid Khan, Uttam Thapa Magar (wicketkeeper), Sunny Patel, Jon Simpson (wicketkeeper), Pratik Shrestha, Akash Tripathi, Tul Bahadur Thapa, Ricardo Vasconcelos (wicketkeeper), Santosh Yadav, and Sonu Devkota.

Sudurpaschim Royals are captained by Dipendra Singh Airee, who also serves as the vice-captain of the Nepal national team. His squad features Vinod Bhandari (wicketkeeper), Avinash Bohara, Deepak Bohara (wicketkeeper), Milan Bohara, Josh Brown, Hemant Dhami, Scott Kuggeleijn, Chris Lynn, Ishan Pandey, Tek Rawat (wicketkeeper), Naren Saud, Harmit Singh, Arif Sheikh, Dipendra Thapa (wicketkeeper), and Himmat Mahara.

Kathmandu’s head coach is former Nepal national team coach Monty Desai, while Sudurpaschim Royals are coached by Jagat Tamatta. The tournament, organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), began on 1st Mangsir and features eight participating teams.
