Prime Minister Sushila Karki officially inaugurated the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Tarkeshwor.

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki inaugurated the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament at a grand ceremony held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The event was attended by senior officials, including Tank Lal Ghising, Member Secretary of the National Sports Council (RACREP), and Chaturbahadur Chand, President of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).

During the inauguration, a floral shower was performed from a helicopter over the stadium. Following the ceremony, the opening match began with Kathmandu Gurkhas, who won the toss, opting to field against the defending champions Janakpur Bolts.

Organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the tournament will run until Mangsir 27 and features eight participating teams competing for the season title.
