NPL: Malan and Saud Hit Half-Centuries for Chitwan

Chitwan Rhinos openers David Malan and Arjun Saud registered impressive half-centuries in their Nepal Premier League (NPL) match against Janakpur Bolts at the Kirtipur Cricket Ground. Both players anchored the innings with solid performances at the top order.
Malan reached his fifty off 38 balls, hitting four sixes and two fours, while Saud completed his half-century in 37 balls, supported by three sixes and four fours. With these knocks, Malan became the 18th, and Saud the 19th, player to score a half-century in the ongoing season, taking the total number of fifties in the tournament to 23.
Earlier this season, Ravi Bopara of Chitwan Rhinos scored three half-centuries. Kushal Bhurtel of Pokhara Avengers and Priyank Panchal of Karnali Yaks have scored two each. Additionally, one half-century each has been recorded by Sudurpaschim Royals’ Binod Bhandari, Josh Brown, Harmit Singh, Ishan Pandey; Biratnagar Kings’ Lokesh Bam, Martin Guptill, Basir Ahmed; Pokhara’s Sumit Verma, Adam Rossington, Jimmy Neesham; Kathmandu Gorkhas’ John Simpson; and Janakpur Bolts’ Wayne Parnell, Sanjay Krishnamurthy, and Aasif Sheikh.
In this edition of the league, Mark Watt of Karnali Yaks remains the only player to have scored a century.
