NPL: Karnali Yaks Opt to Bat First Against Kathmandu Gorkhas
Karnali Yaks won the toss and elected to bat against Kathmandu Gorkhas in today’s Nepal Premier League (NPL) match at TU Cricket Ground.
Kathmandu, Mangsir 14 – Karnali Yaks and Kathmandu Gorkhas are competing in today’s Nepal Premier League (NPL) match at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Karnali won the toss and chose to bat first.
Led by Sompal Kami, Karnali Yaks have secured only one win from four matches so far. With just two points, the team stands in sixth position and must win today’s match to remain in contention for the playoffs.
Kathmandu Gorkhas, captained by Karan KC, have won three out of their five matches and currently hold the third position on the points table. This match is equally crucial for Kathmandu as they aim to strengthen their chances of reaching the playoffs.
In the tournament, Sudurpaschim Royals have already secured a playoff spot, maintaining an unbeaten record with victories in all five of their matches. Organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the second edition of the NPL began on Mangsir 1 and features eight participating teams.
