NPL Cricket: Kathmandu Sets 143-Run Target for Chitwan



Kathmandu Gorkhas have posted 142 runs against Chitwan Rhinos in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), setting a target of 143 at the TU Cricket Ground.


Kathmandu Gorkhas have set a target of 143 runs for Chitwan Rhinos in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament. Batting first after losing the toss at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Kathmandu was bowled out for 142 runs in 19.4 overs. Jon Simpson top-scored for Kathmandu with 60 runs, while Chitwan’s Sohel Tanvir claimed four wickets.

On the points table, Chitwan are placed third with four points from three matches, while Kathmandu also has four points from three matches but remain in fourth position.

Later today at 4 PM, second-placed Biratnagar Kings will face fifth-placed Karnali Yaks. Biratnagar have collected six points from four matches, whereas Karnali have earned two points from three matches.

A total of eight franchise teams is participating in the second edition of the NPL, which began on Mangsir 1 and will continue until Mangsir 27.
